Inspired by the Haitian Revolution and the fearless Nèg Mawon, who escaped slavery only to return and free others, this piece embodies the spirit of true liberation. Just as they shattered the chains of oppression, we now seek to break free from the modern enslavement of materialism, consumerism, and self-neglect.

This work calls for a new revolution not just of the body, but of the mind. It urges us to reclaim our true identity, rise above societal conditioning, and, like the Nèg Mawon, go back to awaken and uplift others, illuminating the path to true freedom and self-understanding.
